Loved ones
Aswani Siwakoti
Toronto,
Canada
Sometimes umbrellas aren’t enough for the rain
That’s when you require the comfort of your loved ones
So you turn around hoping to find them
But all you see are walls
Walls staring back at you
Where have they disappeared?
You ask in your cluttered head
Then you realize, they were never there
Whom you thought were your loved ones
Whom you thought you could trust
Turn out they were just shadows
Not filling but covering the holes in your life
Now that they’re gone, isn’t it all gone?
Or, has it just begun, now knowing that it’s all up to you?
These are the questions that start to haunt you
Having so little time and so many missing holes
How will you ever recover from the pretenders?
The hypocrites?
You wont, you can’t
So you best come prepared,
Know just how it will end
Relying on others won’t get you far
Just have a strong heart
When you’ve got that,
Not even a rainstorm will bring you down
