June the 2nd was one of the most gifted days in my life, as it was the day my relatives from America came to visit us here in Nepal. 8 months my senior, my sister Astha Naral (stayed in USA for last 5 years) was one of the four. As our age was similar, our likes and dislikes were also similar. She also loved books and had asked me to gift her "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows". I did so. Then, as time went on, once when we were talking, she mentioned about my current favorite book, a mystery filled exciting book, 'Twilight'. She was shocked to see me completely blank about the book, as I had never heard of it before. Looking at her expressions, I guessed that it was a great book, and it didn't disappoint me.

Stephanie Meyer has written the four books of the Twilight series: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn'. She is also the author of The Host which is a separate book than the Twilight series. I had a nervy feeling at first, as twilight was not available in all the bookshops I checked into. I was over excited and could not hold back from twilight, so I bought the movie and watched it. In my opinion, that hampered the original excitement that the book would have given. After a week, I heard that twilight had arrived in Mandala Book Shop. And then, my glory days as a reader began.

Twilight is the tale of a teenager Isabella Swan 'Bella' (Kirsten Stewart in movie) and her love with the vampire Edward Cullen (Robert Pattinson in movie) of her school. Bella lived in Phoenix with her mom Renée, but shifted to Forks to stay with her dad Charlie, an officer in Forks, as her mother had to go to Florida with Phil, her new husband. Bella had some stressful days with Edward, but she was keen to unfold the mystery behind the pale skinned, handsome, attractive young man. As the story goes on, Bella says, "About three things I was absolutely positive. First-Edward was a vampire.

Second-There was a part in him, I don't know how dominant it was, that thirsted for my blood, and, Third- I was unconditionally and irrevocably in love with him", which is my favorite dialogue the book.

After I finished reading the book, I passed it on to a friend so that she could also experience her glory days as a reader. I mailed my sister Astha that I had finished reading twilight and she replied that it was great and that I should begin reading new moon, the second book in the series. Well, I have begun reading it and it is also shaping up to be a true classic. I suggest all book lovers to forget about the age and read the 'classics' of the twilight series and if you are of my type, you will enjoy it more than the seven books and eight movies of the wizardry and witchcraft related series "Harry Potter".

As the story says, a vampire could overcome his love and thirst for human blood for his human girlfriend. According to the writer, vampires regard animal blood as food and human blood as water. So, it was as if a human being was surviving without water for his/her love. Lastly, even though there is a big risk and even if your life is at stake, never let go of any work. If Bella could risk her life and be with her boyfriend, there is nothing we cannot do. Nothing is impossible, because the word itself speaks aloud "I'm possible".
