Dispirited wishes, tattered dreams
Gulped down words, hushed screams
Pinched bosom, flaccid head
Ablaze ambiance, no shade
No support, no helping hands
Nothing of the sort
Yet I declare a new battle
From a ruined fort

Aggrieved sentiments, bruised heart
Plummeting oomph, tall restart
Subsiding vigor, feeble hope
An arduous wrestle, an exacting cope
Gloom ahead, no ray of light
Yet from a defeated spot
I proclaim the eventual fight
